2006-2007 Funders

During the 2006-2007 school year, the Mental Insight Foundation granted $15,000 for EEE replication to the Kansas State Department of Education. These funds were distributed to four Kansas elementary schools: Eugene Ware Elementary, USD 234 Fort Scott ($5,000); Morris Elementary, USD 202 Turner ($5,000); Nelson Elementary, USD 261 Haysville ($1,000); and Riverton Elementary, USD 404 Riverton ($4,000). Nelson Elementary implemented the program at only one grade level and Riverton Elementary implemented it only in the second semester.

Although many good things began to happen as a result of these mini-grants, it was evident that a larger investment was needed to fully implement and evaluate EEE.

The Mental Insight Foundation was founded by Bill Kimpton as a way of giving back to a world that had been very generous to him. Its mission is to assist people in developing healthier mental attitudes and to promote meaningful insights into the human mind. The Foundation's primary goals are to enhance individuals' mental health and well-being; to help make it possible for all people to lead full lives; and to assist in reintegrating isolated people back into society. It operates with a sense of compassion and respect for all living things.
